The mechanism was designed in three steps. The first step was the motion generation step where we created a dynamic four bar linkage and validated the dynamic response through ADAMS

The final step was the controls, where we utilized a PID feedback controller along with an Arduino microcontroller, a motor-mounted encoder, color sensor, limit switch, and toggle switch

The goal of this project was to design, build, and test a powered four bar linkage that will automatically pick up and sort discs based on their color using a closed loop control system

The second step was energy conversion where we designed the transmission to minimize travel time while meeting torque and speed requirements
